Pita

Use the recipe for Oil-less bread and omit the apples.  After dough rises following kneading, punch down and divide dough into small balls.  Roll out or pat flat to about 1/4 inch thick and 5 inches in diameter.  Place on Teflon cookie sheet and let rise until double in thickness.  Bake at 475 for 8 minutes.  They should be a light brown, puffed up and hollow inside.

Note: Pita can be purchased in many grocert stores.  Usually they are packaged six or twelve in a package.

Not sure why the creator of this recipe put that note at the bottom.  Maybe they thought it would be easier to buy them than make them?
