Slice 1 large onion
Put slices in a large mouth pint jar
Fill with cold wter to cover onions
Add 2 T sugar
Place tight lid on jar
Shake gently until sugar is dissolved
Keep refrigerated
Pepper Strips and celery may be used the same way.
This is on the back of the notebook paper that had the canned pickles and beets listed previously. I am still searching for my camera so I can add pictures, since that is a big part of the sharing, but for now, just the recipe.
