Marvelous Oatmeal Bread

Dissolve:   4 T Dry Yeast
                  1/2 c warm water


Mix:   2 cups quick Oates
           1/2 cup Oil
           1/2 cup Dark Brown Sugar
           1 T Salt


Pour over mixture:   2 cups boiling water, stir till mixture is like cooked oatmeal and then add:  2 cups cold water. 

When cool.  Add Yeast mixture and 1/2 cup wheat germ, 1/2 cup soy flour, 2 cups WW flour and 6 cups unbleached flour.


This recipe is in my mom's handwriting.  I don't remember this particular recipe, so maybe she found it later or maybe my memory is just not what it used to be.  I do think that beyond this page of recipe one would need to do the usual bread type instructions of kneading, letting rise, punching and all.  That's my guess anyway.
